Bio

Born a long time ago, in Yorkshire, England. Long in the tooth, but still middle-aged at heart. National Service in RAF, 1947-49. Read English at Cambridge (England, not Massachusetts) 49-52. Taught in secondary schools & Sixth-Form Colleges. Retired more than 20 years ago. Did some voluntary work in Mental Health field, otherwise made things out of wood, gardened, renovated our C17 house, meddled in parochial affairs, pottered about. Married about 50 years ag; two daughters, one with three grandchildren now in California. Live in a country village in N. Nottinghamshire, aka Back of Beyond, with wife and Geoffrey the cat, with quietest neighbours possible in the Churchyard next door.
